The small Saltiga reels offer enormous power and Japanese technology at the highest level. The new Airdrive design in combination with the MQ aluminum reel body ensures maximum resilience and sensitivity - ideal when fishing with relatively light tackle for very strong fish such as halibut, tuna, amberjack or GT. The Airdrive rotor reduces the weight in the upper part of the reel and optimizes the balance of the reel on the rod - the result is a better casting feel and optimized sensitivity when guiding the lure. By reducing the rotor weight, the rotor also starts up with less starting resistance and optimizes reaction and sensitivity.

The hollow, one-piece Airdrive bail ensures optimum line management and reduces the risk of tangles during the cast.

The CNC-milled drive wheel made of G1 duralumin has been specially coated to achieve an even smoother and quieter ride than usual. The Airdrive Shaft creates a low-contact structure on the Pinion gearbox to minimize the frictional resistance of the axle and maintain the silky smooth, almost silent running that characterizes this roller. The monocoque design of the reel body enables the installation of a larger gearbox with better power transmission and a longer service life under high loads. The torsion-resistant reel body ensures optimum mounting of the gear unit and permanently smooth running. Magsealed ball bearings on both sides of the crank axle prevent the ingress of salt water and dirt particles and, in conjunction with the Magsealed axle, provide enormous protection against corrosion.
