OSP Sinker Whip

The O.S.P Sinker Whip is a tungsten sinker designed specifically for the "Shad Carolina Rig" by Kodai Hayashi, a professional guide and tournament fisherman. In the past, it was common to use a barrel lead that was held in place with a swim stop rubber. However, this had the disadvantage of causing the sinker to move when a hard and fast jerk was applied, causing the lure to lose power before the force of the jerk was transferred to it, and damaging the line by excessive rubbing.

In the course of his research on the "Shad Carolina Rig," he became convinced that the sinker should not move. By using a through-wire system, the sinker is completely fixed to the lure without loss of power and line breakage is avoided.

To avoid excessive glare and water resistance, a matte black tungsten material with high specific gravity is used to reduce wrist strain when jerking. The shape of the board has also been tested several times to ensure that the board itself runs straight and falls after jerking.
