Il y a un quart de siècle, en 1995, Yuki Ito présentait au monde un prototype de canne à pêche à la basse de Megabass qui était un descendant direct de la canne à pêche à la basse ARMS fabriquée à la main qu'il avait développée en 1986. Il voulait détruire les normes conventionnelles et le bon sens des cannes à pêche de basse. La Destroyer a établi une nouvelle norme pour les cannes à pêche à la perche, laissant derrière elle de nombreuses autres cannes à pêche à la perche avec sa sensibilité stoïque et sa technologie époustouflante.

En 2019, le projet LAIHA a été lancé par les ingénieurs de MPW (MEGABASS PERFORMANCE WORKS) en tant que travail de divulgation avancé de la technologie expérimentale. L'un d'entre eux est le système de graphite 5-D. Le 5-D Graphite System est un nouveau concept dans la technologie de conception des manches qui représente un changement radical de la philosophie de conception de Destroyer, qui consiste à introduire des systèmes de couches avancés. Et c'est finalement devenu une réalité. Le "Nouveau Roi de la Destruction" régnera en tant que nouveau "Destroyer", libérant une nouvelle dimension dans la performance des cannes à pêche grâce à une technologie innovante. Il s'agit d'une révolution dans la destruction des cannes à pêche à la basse. Tout comme c'était le cas à l'époque.

F2-66X Whippet
When developing the F2-66XS WHIPPET, the Megabass design team set out to explore the concept behind the F2-64XS, a spinning rod beloved for the better part of 25 years. The resulting 5-D Graphite prototypes came in nearly 35% lighter and with significantly more torque, leading to the addition of 2" to the blank's length and minor adjustments to more fully realize the F2-64XS' original potential. The WHIPPET is a multi-purpose, "whip-like" performer, boasting agile blank recovery, lightness and powerful torque to enable multi-purpose finesse applications.

The F1.1 / 2-72XS BABY PLUGGING is tuned for finesse hardbaits, leveraging 5-D Graphite to decrease unwanted blank twist and reverberation, and increase power and controllability.
